Incredibly cute
I purchased this product for my two month old son. He isn’t interacting with them just yet, but he looks intently at them when they are held up for him. The high-contrast colors are good for young babies as they are easier for them to see. Two of the bugs have crinkly material in the wings, which puzzles Alex. I like that the toys are interactive in several ways. My only complaint is that the rattle is a little softer than I expected. (Not much of a complaint though, I purchased a second set for a friend!)
Figured it out!
Our baby LOVES these wrist/foot rattles, but I couldn’t figure out how to keep the socks on – she kept kicking them off every few minutes. First I tried cuffing them, which helped a little.
But I finally figured out that they stay on when put OVER her regular socks. She’s 3 months old and has super-chubby legs, so it wasn’t that they were too large for her. They just tend to stretch and all off as she is kicking.
I wish they were made out of “normal” sock material instead of thin t-shirt type material, but now that I’ve found a way to keep them on her feet, I’m a happy Mom, and she’s a happy baby!
They are okay
I bought this when my baby was almost 5 months old. I think this is best though for a younger baby who can’t roll over yet. My baby was interested in it at first and then she would get bored and just roll over. The colors are nice. She likes to put these in her mouth. Now, at almost 6 months, I don’t put these on her anymore but I still use the wrist rattles to put on her infant carrier. Overall, I like the Lamaze toys. Her first lamaze toy was Jacques the Peacock and she would talk and giggle with Mr. Jacques.
Great Idea but...
the socks do not stay on my daughter’s chubbilicious feet. At four months she has just started grabbing her little tootsies and these feet-finders are super cute but 1, aren’t shaped like a sock to accommodate the heel and consequently come off rather easily and 2, are a bit tight (but dont seem to have any elasticity to them) and are hard to keep pulling back on my baby’s feet.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
We LOVE these little bugs! My nephew loves them (3months) and my cousin as well (5months). The socks are a little large however and seem to slide off when baby boy kicks his feet. They serve their purpose (foot/hand discovery) when they stay on. We have found that by putting them on over another pair of socks they stay on better and do not get kicked off! Wrist rattles work great and can be attached to car carrier, crib rails, baby’s wrist or ankles etc… We all love them!!
My son loves these still
I bought this for my son at 3 months old. At 8 months old he still enjoys his bugs. He never really got into the one’s for feet but he loves the soft wrist wrattles. They are durable. I’ve washed them on delicate in the washing machine several times and they are still good as new.
Newborn loves it!
I just caught my baby quietly playing with these in his crib. I put them on while he slept and when he woke up, he didn’t even cry. I had to peek in at him because he was quiet past his usual waking time. When I did, I found him contentedly playing with the wrist toys. He was smiling, cooing and waving them into his mouth. He hasn’t discovered his feet yet, so we haven’t been putting the socks on. The only caveat I anticipate is that his foot may outgrow the socks by the time he discovers & plays with his feet.
Just bought another set for a friend who is expecting!
Fun toys, but not for the chubbies
Love the colors, little creatures, and the concept…but as some of the other reviewers point out, the socks are small and the rattle part is very soft (as if there are only 2 beads inside each bug). We actually ended up having to put the socks on his hands because my 3 mo. old son’s chubby little feet/legs wouldn’t fit in them. Overall, however, he was entertained by them and liked to inspect what we strapped to him
Cute
Adorable product. Cute concept. Nicely made. But my daughter didn’t give a crap about them. If anything they only got in her way while she was trying to get her hands in her mouth.
Your little one doesn't need these
With our first child, I bought these so our baby could have some stimulation when he was young. These are more entertainment for adults because the baby didn’t really notice them because he had to wave his wrist directly in front of his eyes, which happens like once in a blue moon. Then you get paranoid that the little animals will fall off and land in your kids mouth.
