  1. Great doll

This is a nice, soft doll for babies. My only wish is that the pacifier was attached. We lose it about once a week under a couch or down a cushion etc.

  2. Great First Baby Doll

I bought this for my daughter’s first birthday. Baby Stella is soft and cuddly; she has a belly button and dimples over her bottom -too cute. My daughter loves her.

My granddaughter (10 mos) loved her doll – especially being able to take the pacifier off and on. Very cute doll for small children.

  4. My daughter's favorite birthday gift
    by Amy Ebelhack

Baby Stella was the runaway hit of my daughter’s first birthday party. Once she saw her, she was so excited that she could hardly wait for me to take her out the box. Right from the start, she was smiling at Baby Stella and hugging her. I wasn’t sure if my daughter would play with her right away, since she hadn’t shown much interest in dolls, but apparently it was love at first sight. Now, if you ask her where Baby Stella is, she lights up and takes off after her, then smiles and gives her a big hug when she finds her.

The doll itself is really well made, sturdy but soft. She has a satisfying weight to her that makes her feel a little more solid than a typical doll or stuffed animal. The articulated fingers and toes are nice, and her little belly button is just adorable. She also has a very cute face, which reinforces the interest my daughter has recently shown in naming the parts of the face. I’ll say “Where are Baby Stella’s eyes? Where is Baby Stella’s nose?” and my daughter will point. She also likes attaching the magnetic pacifier to Baby Stella’s mouth, although Mom is strict about the pacifier not leaving the house, for fear of getting lost. I agree that it would be nice if it were attached, but they do sell a replacement set in case the original is lost.

Overall, my daughter really seems to enjoy playing with her. I can see her loving Baby Stella for many months, or even years.

  5. Perfect baby doll!
    by Gerri S.

Based on the reviews for this doll I bought one for my almost 1 year old granddaughter. I have to tell you she absolutely loves that little doll. The minute she sees it her little face lights up and she gives it a great big hug. Her mom tells me she carries it with her everywhere. This doll proves that little ones don’t need a doll with a face that looks like an actual person. The doll is well made with a very sweet face. It’s very shape lends it to be easily held and cuddled. My daughter-in-law and I couldn’t be happier with little Baby Stella and it’s a no brainer that my grandaughter adores her. I highly recommend this precious doll.

  6. Best Doll Ever
    by New Mommy

I bought Baby Stella for my daughter when she was 20 months old. She is now 3 & 1/2 years old. She has played with Stella almost everyday since she got her. Stella is a member of our family! ha! I highly recommend this doll…soft & good quality. Your little girl will love her too!

  7. Best first doll for a little girl
    by TNMomTeacher

After searching for the perfect first doll, I bought Stella for my daughter’s first Christmas present when she was only 2 months old. I wanted a cloth doll with arms and legs and removable clothing so it would grow with her. A few months later, she started playing with Stella and eventually started dragging her around by her soft little arms. That was nearly 4 years ago. My little girl has since received Bitty Baby Twins, 3 Baby Alive dolls, and a couple Cabbage Patch Kids, all of which she plays with. But her favorite is Stella, who goes everywhere with us and even arrives daily at preschool in my daugher’s quilted backpack! She is so well made and perfect for a little girl with no plastic parts. Her plump little body is filled with some type of beans or something and is slightly weighted so she can sit. Her arms, legs, and head are filled with durable foam that allow for some movement. We often lay Stella’s arms at her side and swaddle her in my daughter’s knit receiving blanket as she requests. I will cherish Baby Stella long after my little one outgrows her for the memories of her early years!

  8. I LOVE STELLA. My twin baby 9-month olds are getting used to her
    by Citizen John

I know I’m supposed to tell how much my children love this toy. The fact is I love Baby Stella. It’s the first doll I’ve bought for my baby 9-month old twins, and they’re still a little skeptical. Stella is about a foot tall (Product Description says 15 inches but mine is 12). My babies haven’t seen anything like this before, and she looks like them in a way.

They hold Stella as if they love her and then they throw her. They also like to pull Stella’s pacifier off. That’s fun for them. This pacifier is way too big for my babies’ mouths so it’s not dangerous at this stage. You can loop your finger or thumb through the handle of the pacifier. The pacifier has a magnet and locks on pretty tightly to Stella’s mouth. My babies are not at the stage where they try to put the pacifier back on.

Stella’s belly and feet feel as if she has little round crunchy things inside like barley or buckwheat. All the rest of her (head, arms and legs) are made of thick foam inside. She has seven tiny strips coming out of the top of her head – her hair. They like to put any part of her in their mouths and we wonder if they’re kissing Stella. They haven’t discovered that they can take her clothes, including her diaper off. Those are held by velcro in some places, but in a way that seems seamless. I think it will be awhile before they find that out.

My guess is they’ll love this doll as much as I do. And I’ve never loved a doll either. It’s just such a joy to buy your girl’s first doll. Others have said I should get two. I hadn’t thought of that earlier for some reason. If you see me with another review and that Amazon Verified Purchase logo, you’ll know what happened.

  9. not just for babies/toddlers
    by Mommabear

My daughter is no longer a baby or toddler, yet she LOVES this doll! She received her for Easter. My daugher is a huge stuffed animal lover. Dolls have never been her favorite toy, though she does have a few favorites. This doll has the same soft feel of her beloved stuffed animals, so baby Stella is a huge hit! She has taken her everywhere! Baby Stella is so adorable! The pacifer makes her even cuter than she already is! I, too, fell in love with her upon seeing her. She is that cute! I recommend this for girls up to age 8. It’s really not just for babies. It’s for any little girl who loves to play “Mommy”. The food set, which you can purchase separately, is a cute addition for pretend play. The bottle alone is worth the price of the set.
