Must attend children playing with this
To begin playing, take the blocks off the poles. At first I was worried she would fall over and hurt herself on these exposed poles. Next, the poles fell off, which then exposes this clear glue which my child wants to chew on.
Just like the sorting cube I bought with this, the colored paint chips off. The square is 2 shapes which fit to be a square. Seems like a good advanced concept, but mostly concerned of the sharp edges. So those were put away.
I should have bought one of the plastic versions of this. The paint would not have chipped off. And maybe the poles would have been attached to the base rather than adhered with toxic glue.
Baby Toys
This was a huge hit with my 9 month old. He plays with it everyday and always looks for it in his toys.
Great Puzzler for lots of educational activities
Bought this toy for my two-year-old and it was an immediate hit. I like that the poles are uniform in size and so any of the “rings” will fit on in any order. It’s a great toy for learning to sort, learning colors and counting.
Great Toy!
My 20 month old loves to play with this toy. He enjoys putting all the shapes back on just as much as he enjoys tipping it upside down and watching them all fall off. He also enjoys sorting them by color. He hasn’t figured out how to fit the square blocks together yet, so when he puts them back on they don’t always all fit on, but I am sure he will figure it out soon enough.
It is all wood (no plastic) which is great & I am sure it will hold up well. The shapes often get dropped/tossed onto the base and other toys and so far not even a scratch on them.
Great, so far
Our two year old dearly loves this toy. Once he starts playing with this he
stays with it for twenty minutes or more. He doesn’t have the hang of what goes where yet, but it is quite intriguing to him and he loves all the different colors and shapes. So far, we are not having paint chipping issues. (Another M&D toy we bought at the same time as this is already chipping.) The straight wooden sticks are something to think about although the wooden frame does not wobble at all. I would rate this 5 for fun, 4 for education, and 3 to 4 for safety.
Horrible toy, please don't buy
The toy was made in a very bad condition. All the wood blocks stuck to each other. It took me a while to separate them. The results are the painting is off or stayed in another block’s surface. The toy is completely ruined. The wood and painting are in very poor quality. The smell of the wood is very wield. Anyway, please trust me, please don’t buy this toy!!!!!!!
Great like all M & D products
My two and a half year old swiped this from the dentist’s office (with permission). She loves it and so does my one year old son.
Manufacturing Problem
My grandson plays with the toy and enjoys it very much. However, apparently, the toy was assembled before the paint was dry. Several of the pieces were stuck together. When I separated them, the colors also separated and carried over to different pieces.
Beware, this bleeds
Maybe it’s non-toxic but after a half hour of our toddler playing with this – although he enjoyed it – his hands were red and there were red stains on his t-shirt. So its in the garbage now. Is it non-toxic I don’t know, though if toy makers used toxic paints for years and lied about them, there’s little reason to believe a label that boldly says non-toxic. How many pieces of clothing out there with Gucci labels are not made by Gucci?
